I was born in Lakewood, Ohio, and raised in Falls Church, Virginia, the first of three boys. My parents Abby Arthur Johnson and Ronald Maberry Johnson are professors, writers, poets, and salt of the earth.
I attended J.E.B. Stuart High School, graduated from Georgetown University with a B.A. in English Literature, earned a Masters Degree in English Literature from George Mason University, a second Masters in Special Education at the University of Virginia, and I am on hiatus from earning a Doctoral degree in Education at U.VA., raising two children. My daughters are 7 and 11 yrs old and I could not be more blessed. My wife Christin is also an educator and a dancer, actor, and musician.
I am a father, a husband, a son, a brother, and a friend. I am a musician and composer and have written music for many corporations and indie films. I design sound and I love to create music.
I have a passion for education that knows no bounds. I am born from a long line of teachers and pastors and soldiers. I believe in justice. I believe in everyone’s potential and I know that every human being can fulfill their dreams.
I do not believe in Limits or Boundaries or Borders.
I believe in the power of the Will, of Imagination, and our Abilities.
